50kVA Solid State Transformer
This example shows a 50kVA solid state transformer (SST). The system includes AC-DC rectification, DAB isolation, and DC-AC inversion three-level power conversion, as shown in Figure (a) below. The dynamic simulation test of low-voltage ride-through on the grid side with a simulation time of 5 seconds is carried out, and the voltage waveform on the grid side is shown in the following figure (B).

50kVA SSToverall circuit and simulation Low pressure ride-through dynamics
this example is shown in the following figure:

For a 5-second dynamic process, if you use the ideal switching model, DSIM takes less than 5 seconds, which is 50 times faster than existing software; if you use the transient switching model, DSIM takes about 50 seconds, which is better than another commercial software. 700 times faster. The comparison results are shown in the following figure. The CPU of the test platform for this study is Intel.Core i7-7700K.

simulation results are in good agreement with the experimental results. The comparison of the grid side waveform and the DC bus voltage is shown in the following figure:

DSIM are in good agreement with the experimental measurements. The following figure shows a comparison of the simulation and experimental results of a switch current in a grid cycle (20ms). Because software B adopts the ideal switching model, it can not simulate the switching transient process, which is quite different from the experimental results. The DSIM results are in good agreement with the experimental results.
